Library Material From the United States by Lubica Forsythe and Anne Roberts Elizabeth O'Brien came home from her trip to the US (to attend a lead conference) with a stack of printed material on aspects of lead. The material represents a grab of the enormous volume of information being generated by US groups and agencies. The material can be classified into three broad groupings:
The LEAD Group has begun networking with the organisations whose printed material looks most interesting and useful. One other item of particular interest is an article by a school psychologist, Anne Winner, listing symptoms and some suggestions for classroom intervention for school children who were lead poisoned when they were young. See p.6 of this LEAD Action News. Material can be viewed in or copies obtained from the Community Lead Information Centre Library (CLIC). Tapes of the best sessions of the Washington conferences are also available. Phone (02) 9716 0014 for an appointment.§ |
