QUESTION: Photo of lead smelters, possibly by Professor Gulson 30 Apr 2008 WA, Australia I would like to use some images of lead smelters if you have any available for a cover image for our scientific journal, as we are running some articles on the biochemistry of lead poisoning. This will appear in the May Clinical Biochemist Reviews. We would be pleased to credit the images as you wish. Thank you for your consideration of this request. |

ANSWER: 07 May 2008 The only smelter photo I've been able to find on our computer network is the attached one named "Gulson Mt Isa lead smelter mining town duststorm.tif" and it is a bit blurry probably because it's a DUST STORM! Due to the possibly very short timeframe, I am copying this email to Professor Brian Gulson in case he doesn't want it used or it should have a Photo credit other than "Photo: Professor Brian Gulson". He's very responsive to emails so if you don't hear from him and if you do want to use the photo, then I'd suggest you go ahead with that credit. Cheers Yours Sincerely See: Port Pirie lead smelter and Paminco lead smelter Nr Newcastle NSW |
