QUESTION: The effects of Tetraethyl Lead, 10 May 2006, Kentucky
USA I was wondering if there is any evidence to suggest that tetraethyl lead causes any abnormalities in color vision as a result of interaction with the visual cortex? If the answer is yes, I was wondering if you knew if it would be a loss of blue-yellow like over exposure to toluene or some other color anomaly? |

ANSWER: 18 Jul 2006 Dear John, I am sorry for the very late reply. I did a search for your question on tetraethyl lead and I did not find a specific correlation between tetraethyl lead and the effect on visual cortex. Below are what I found (the quotes in the brackets are the sentences that link tetraethyl lead with vision):
I will also send an email to the world's only manufacturer of tetraethyl lead and inquire about it. Should they send any reply, I'll forward it to you. Regards, Update 2012 see Tetraethyl lead conference 1925 PDF |
