QUESTION:
Did you have a question about lead? 14 Sep 2005, Western Australia
We are renting a property with a swimming pool which leaks. The owner is not prepared to fix it and has agreed to pay our water bill. However, three pool guys have been to the pool and each one has said that the skimmer box is 'illegal' and the pool electrics are very dangerous. The agent has had at least 2 written reports mentioning this, but nothing has been done. Where do we stand on this? Is there someone we can call to come and have a look and make the owners do something about it?
Yours hopefully |

Dear Susan, you have written to the Global Lead Advice and Support Service where we answer questions about the heavy metal lead for instance, in lead paint, lead poisoning, lead contamination, etc. You probably need to contact a tenants rights organisation with your query or the relevant government department eg fair trading or consumer affairs.
