Thanks for your emails. I have a much better understanding of what to do now. Below I have attached the letter I plan to email to Joy for your consideration. Let me know if I should make any changes.

Draft Letter to Joy

Dear Joy,

We really appreciate the privilege you have offered us to appear at the top of this list of our category. I accepted your invitation and added the category 'Pregnancy and Toxic Risk' at www.pregnancyclass.com/addcat.html. Once "Pregnancy and Toxic Risk" is added, I would be grateful if you could create a link to www.lead.org.au/lanv6n2/update005.html using the following display text:

Dear Jasmin,
thanks for your email. Just a couple of things: I don't need you to actually go to our website and use our email form whenever you email us. My request was that you create an email in your own email service by pasting in the following template {I've modified it slightly by adding Job Title}:

I've searched Joy's website and cannot find the one essential piece of data we need the suburb or postcode and country. Thus I have added half a sentence asking Joy for this. The only comment I would have about the above draft letter is that it could be a bit shorter in this case because you clearly don't need to convince Joy about putting on our link - she suggested it. (Though of course it doesn't hurt to practice this for use on less receptive webmasters). I'm sure you would have done it with the final email but just in case, please remember that whenever you are offering a link in return (a links swap) then put webmaster in the Cc: field before sending your email to the webmaster.
I hope that's clearer.
