QUESTION: Is glossy & brightly coloured earthenware made in England lead-safe? 16 Aug 2005, Kedah Malaysia
I have just bought an expensive and beautifully decorated earthenware tableware set (glossy and brightly coloured floral patterns) from a world renowned china manufacturer. The pieces are all Made in England. Am I putting myself and family at risk to lead exposure? Thank You. |

Dear Sir, The answer to your question is very likely "yes" but if you want to be sure you can always email the manufacturer and ask whether it complies with British or international standards for lead leaching from tableware. Yours Sincerely |
