Thesegmenthasgrownorganicallythroughourdevelopmentofnewproductstoaddresswhatwebelieve
arethekeydriversindemandforfueladditives.Thesedriversincludeincreaseddemandforfuel,focuson
fueleconomy,changingenginetechnologyandlegislativedevelopments.Wehavealsodevotedsubstantial
resourcestowardsthedevelopmentofnewandimprovedproductsthatmaybeusedtoimprove
combustionefficiency.

PreviouslyourOctaneAdditivessegmentproducedtetraethyllead(“TEL”)foruseinautomotivegasoline
andprovidedservicesinrespectofenvironmentalremediationtomanagethecleanupofredundantTEL
facilitiesasrefineriescompletedthetransitiontounleadedgasoline.Theexpectedactivitiestocleanup
redundantTELfacilitieshavebeenprovidedforinthesecondquarterof2020.
Legacycostsrelatedtotheseoperationsarenowbeingrecordedasoperatingexpenseswithincorporate
costs.
